i was bored
i needed to

creative muscles
and make the
character
human

i’m not an
automaton,
people

i have feelings

i’m real

lying in the lawn
crying in the lawn
malibu sunshine
angry lemon
in the sky
a starlet in her
underwear walking
zombie-like into
the swimming pool

when i eat bad sushi
i get mercury
poisoning
just like
you

why is it so hard
for people
to understand?
